This book by Mason Ball takes the reader on a scriptural journey learning what God has to say about nudity. The book is very clear in its presentation on this subject and bases the content on scripture passages in the Bible. As a Christian, this book confirms and strengthens my faith and gives me the freedom to appreciate my natural body without clothes. Society requires clothes and churches require clothes, but from the beginning, God created man and woman, Adam and Eve, naked and was pleased with His creation and called the creation "very good." I believe God has no "hang-ups" about how he created mankind. If God is not offended by the naked body, why should we be ashamed to be seen as God created each of us? I would encourage other readers to read for themselves what he has written and confirm what the Scriptures say on this topic.Product details

The author went to great effort researching scripture to write this book. In this book he says that God is ok with nudity and points out Scriptures to back up this premise. Another big deal is that lust is the responsibility of the one lusting not the one being lusted after. This is discussed in detail. The book explains Christianity and Nudism can happily coexist. Mason Ball properly acknowledges that prudes have hijacked the Christian faith to the particular detriment of adolescents and young adults in the mate attraction phase of the human lifecycle. Unfortunately, the writers' solution, nudism, opens up as many problems as it potentially solves.
For example, predation. How does one prevent persons NOT in the adolescent and young adult phase of mate attraction from hanging out nude with the ones that are, which may interfere with the teenage bonding processes more so than just leaving everyone's clothes on. (That's why churches set age limits on their 'singles' groups.)
Secondly, Ball leaves in place the ubiquitous Christian Greek prohibition of fornication while teenagers mingle sans clothes. Really! Maybe a naked fifty or sixty year old can totally separate sex and nudity as their aged gonads shrivel, but a teenager, NOT! And all the more problem for boys, as they are less able to hide natural reaction than girls, who incidentally ARE equally aroused. Hence, no net decrease in shame occurs whether clothed or otherwise. The clothed are possibly, but not necessarily, exhibiting shame by wearing clothes, but the nude in arousal are certainly shamed in Ball's sexual economy, for the two are utterly separate and any confusion is in and of itself, shameful. (Even the least textiled tribes cover the tips of their penises and vaginal openings).
Ultimately, Mason Ball is either a Christian who has taken that most dangerous first step onto the muddy slope of natural law and stopped right there, after one step, or is a pervert looking to get access to naked teenagers. Either Mason Ball is a victim of Christian prude-secution, possibly even missing out on the natural mating cycle of humans, as many have, or has taken more than a fair share and wants more. There is no way to know and that is the real problem with this book. It simultaneously appeals to the dark side of human evil and the light side to make things right and just. There is no way to know which is which.
Well written. I kept my bible close at hand to refer to and highlight while reading it. Definitely provides a good argument in favor of a naturist lifestyle supported by biblical passages
This book easily gets 5 stars. The author brings up a lot of very good points that are founded or based upon a Biblical perspective and truth when it comes to nudity and I cant stress that enough. It is well written and is one that i would strongly recommend to someone/other people that question the ideals of modesty and/or nudity in general whether you are a Christian or not.
Great book! A great deal of thought, reasoning and study went into this book. If the principles of this book were applied the world would be a much better place to live. How can the author be contacted and encouraged to offer this and his other books in print? I would buy it a second time for my permanent collection.
The book concept is good, but the author third person is distracting and the book needs some editing. Like like
It's important to approach this work with an open mind and a willingness to put one's own preconceived notions about the human body and it's holiness. If the reader lays these aside he/she will find the arguments logical and worth considering as an alternative to current Christian dogma regarding nudity and its place in the Christian faith.
